This beautiful 1951 manor is home to the Omicron Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order at the University of Texas at Austin. The southern plantation style manor has been updated only a few times over the past 7 decades and was in need of serious updates. The Austin KA chapter hired Katheryn Lott Architects to first redo the upstairs living quarters – focusing mainly on a total new look for the bath and shower areas. Next KL architects were asked to update the public areas on the ground floor. New tile for the restrooms, lighting and painting throughout the main floor. The last and most involved phase of construction included a totally new commercial kitchen. The kitchen remodel required total gutting of the existing defunct conditions. Before and after photos are shown.
